QuinLED An-Penta-Plus Hybrid Analog + Digitally Addressable function
Back to QuinLED An-Penta-Plus Index
The QuinLED An-Penta-Plus is the first controller in the line-up that has Hybrid functionality meaning that while at it’s heart it’s meant as a Analog/PWM dimmer it has an added digital LED data output channel for situations where both Analog and Digital is required.
This can either be running both types of strip or strips that actually have both combined on the same strip.
Relay function
The QuinLED An-Penta-Plus is equipped with a MOSFET based relay circuit to turn on and off the digital side of it. Digital LEDs still use power while being off but the relay circuit solves this issue!
Buck-converter terminal
Next to just having a digital LED data output terminal (which is 5v level-shifted with a 33R resistor) the board also has a sort of “external buck-converter” feature for when your digital LED strip needs a different voltage vs the Analog LED strip you want to run. Please see the following articles which explains that feature in more detail!
