QuinLED An-Penta-Plus Capabilities
Back to QuinLED An-Penta-Plus Index
The QuinLED An-Penta-Plus was designed to be a step up vs the An-Penta-Mini in regards to capabilities enhancing the total board power to from 10A to 30A and the per channel limit from 5A to 10A per channel. The QuinLED An-Penta-Plus further also features special power injection terminals for 2 of it’s channels for really power hungry or long strips.
Capabilities
PWM and bit depth resolution
For the An-Penta-Plus the PWM bit depth available is listed below:
- 80Mhz
- 1Hz-1.223Hz with 16-Bit resolution (65536 steps)
- 1Hz-2.446Hz with 15-Bit resolution (32768 steps)
- 1Hz-4.892Hz with 14-Bit resolution (16384 steps)
- 1Hz-9.784Hz with 13-Bit resolution (8192 steps)
- 1Hz-19.569Hz with 12-Bit resolution (4096 steps)
- 1Hz-39.138Hz with 11-Bit resolution (2048 steps)
- 1Hz-78.266Hz with 10-Bit resolution (1024 steps)
- 2Hz-156.555kHz with 9-Bit resolution (512 steps)
- Higher PWM frequencies are possible with lowered bit depth (and potentially lower max power handling, please see power handling article for details)
Voltage capabilities
- 12v-48v Compatible with 30A max total current handling
- Internally fused at 4x 8Amp + 1x 5Amp per positive channel with swappable fuses
- Please see dedicated Power Handling article for exact details!
- Internally fused at 4x 8Amp + 1x 5Amp per positive channel with swappable fuses
Flexibility and Current capabilities
- 5x analog PWM output channels
- 5x “high-power” channels up 10A
- 2x channels have extra power injection terminals available (generally for white LED strips)
- Because of programmability of the controller these can be used “as seen fit” such as:
- 5x white individually controllable
- 1x RGB + 2x white individually controllable
- 1x RGB+CCT (so a strip with Red, Green, Blue, Warm White and Cold White LEDs)
- 5x “high-power” channels up 10A
