- 6x positive output channels
- Internally fused at %Amp per channel with auto-reset fuses
- 15x analog output channels
- 15x “medium-power” channels up 5A
- Because of programmability of the controller these can be used “as seen fit” such as:
- 15x white individually controllable
- 3x RGB + 6x white individually controllable
- 3x RGB+CCT (so a strip with Red, Green, Blue, Warm White and Cold White LEDs)
- Barrier style input terminals and Pluggable screw output terminals
- 2x Large M4 compatible barrier style input terminals (Accepts up to 10AWG/5.2mm2 cable!)
- All screw terminals are 5.08mm pluggable or 3.81mm pluggable style “rising clamp” terminals
- All with + (Philips head) screws
- 3x 2p 5.08mm positive power output terminal (fused at 5A per slot)
- 3x 5p 3.81mm LED PWM output terminal (rated at 5A max each)
- 1x 7p 3.81mm Button input
- 1x Stemma QT/Qwiic terminal for I2C devices
- 12v-48v Compatible with 30A max
- Please see dedicated Power Handling article for exact details!
- High Quality modern MOSFET packages
- Including 10v MOSFET drivers (all channels) and resistors to create smooth PWM in conjunction with the custom capacitor design circuit
- Freewheeling (Flyback) Diodes
- To prevent back feed from blowing up the MOSFETs
- Housed in a nice and small aluminium housing with clear labeling
Capabilities
- High Speed PWM capable
- Recommended PWM speed 19531Hz with 13-bit Resolution (8192 steps)
- 1kHz-4.9kHz with 16-Bit resolution (65536 steps)
- 5kHz-9.9kHz with 13-Bit resolution (8192 steps)
- 10kHz-19.9kHz with 12-Bit resolution (4096 steps)
- 20kHz-39.9kHz with 11-Bit resolution (2048 steps)
- 40kHz-79.9kHz with 10-Bit resolution (1024 steps)
- 80kHz-159.9kHz with 9-Bit resolution (512 steps)
- Higher PWM frequencies possible with lowered bit depth (and potentially lower max power handling, please see power handling article for details)
- Recommended PWM speed 19531Hz with 13-bit Resolution (8192 steps)
- Tuned MOSFET circuit
- Low level dimming capable
- Depending on resolution available the QuinLED-An-DecaPenta can dim LED strips exceptionally low through a highly tuned MOSFET circuit
- “Slowed down” PWM pulse to be more EMI compliant
- Designed to support up to 120kHz PWM!
- Low level dimming capable
- Power Supply friendly
- Fully custom DC-DC stage for internal power conversion (board electronics only)
- Includes multiple built-in protection circuits
- Custom capacitor circuit layout with multiple capacitors per positive output channel to prevent current spiking for the power supply (and over the power wires) as much as possible
- “Low noise” PWM dimming
- Design is fully optimized to prevent any “PWM noise” coming from the controller or power supply as much as possible!
- Fully custom DC-DC stage for internal power conversion (board electronics only)
- High Voltage capable
- The QuinLED-An-DecaPenta is built around being fully 48v compatible. This means new generation of LED strips can be used with less voltage drop issues over distance can be used!
- Great WiFi coverage
- Using an external antenna, although small, WiFi reception is much better then with an integrated antenna!
- Expandability
- No hardware lock-downs (you buy it, you own it!)
- Multiple button input, 3v3 and GND terminals
- Button inputs with HW debounce circuit
- Rotary encoder possible using 3x input!
- Stemma QT/Qwiic connector allows easy expansion with I2C devices such as temperature sensors, etc.
- 100% Native Home Assistant compatible
- Built around hardware that is natively compatible in ESPhome and WLED!
