QuinLED An-Penta-Deca Wiring Guide
Back to QuinLED An-Penta-Deca Index
Hooking up your QuinLED An-Penta-Deca is easy! Below are some example configurations to show you how to hook up various configurations. Please also see the QuinLED An-Penta-Deca Ports guide.
The QuinLED An-Penta-Deca has 15 ports so can be configured in numerous ways, below are just some examples of this. You can make any combination of Single Color (White), Dual Color (CCT), RGB, RGBW or RGBCCT that you want on the same board. This also works in WLED or ESPhome, whichever you like best. So please keep this in mind when reading the below wiring guide, if your exact mix of various strips isn’t shown as long as it falls in the 15 channels it should generally be possible to run from the single controller as long as you stay within the hardware limits.
15x Single White LED Strip
Since each individual channel can be used for an LED strip (while staying within the hardware limits) you can configure up to 15 individual (white) LED strips if you want. For this configuration you will have to double up on some of the positive outputs though since there are “only” 6x 6.3A positive outputs available.
*You will need one of the newest versions of WLED v15.x to be able to configure 15x white output channels!
7x CCT White LED Strip
If instead you want to hook up Dual White CCT LED strips, each strip needs 2 channels and with 15 total you can connect up to 7 of those strips using 14 channels in total!
5x RGB LED Strip
With 15 channels available you can also hook up 5x individually controllable RGB LED strips!
3x RGBCCT LED Strip
Now white LEDs are all nice and fun but sometimes you need a bit more color in your life, no problem! With the QuinLED An-Penta-Deca you can connect up to 3x RGBCCT strips and control them individually!
End conclusion
The above are just examples of how you can use and configure the QuinLED An-Penta-Deca, with it’s 15 “medium power” 5A outputs and 6x 6.5A fuses (30A total recommended) it’s capable of quite a lot of output (720w at 24v)! Configure it as you see fit, either to run a few strips close to it or to run multiple lights in your home all on a single controller and power supply!
